Kermit Ruffins featured on AmericanWay Magazine | American Airlines

Kermit Ruffins, Basin Street recording artist, is featured on the cover of AmericanWay, AmericanAirlines monthly magazine.

Kermit Ruffins is a jazz trumpeter, singer and composer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Ruffins co-founded the Rebirth Brass Band in 1983 and made his first recordings with Rebirth in 1984. In 1992 hee started the Barbecue Swingers, a traditional jazz quintet. Kermit’s signature is cooking barbecue at his shows, and every Thursday since the early ’90s, Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers have played at Vaughan’s Bar in the Bywater neighborhood.
